“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” - Thomas Merton.
When walking around the Hurst Open Studios trail, you will see some of the local talent while also being able to appreciate our beautiful village. Starting in 2003 with 8 artists, we now encompass 19 artists across 12 different locations. Discover a range of media, including oils, photography, watercolour, textiles, silver, and glass and uncover some hidden gems.
Refreshments will be available from Sylvia Thornhill in Pitt Lane (profits split between St Peter & St James Hospice and Sussex Cancer Fund) and Jenny Hawkes in College Lane.
Remember some locations are only open the first weekend so don't miss out
There will be a shuttle bus, kindly provided by Hurst College, running from 11:30pm to 3pm. The bus will take in all venues, running a roughly circular route via Hurst College, College Lane, Hurst High Street, Albourne Road (as far as Mossy Mile), Cuckfield Road, Chalkers lane and back to Hurst College.
Check the Hurst Open Studios Page on this Website, under What's On, for Map, complete list of dates, bus route and full details of all artists.
