THE QUAKE
“. . . San Francisco is gone. Nothing remains of it but memories …”
Jack London, 1906 |

|
The famous tenor Caruso was trapped in the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. In order to return home to the family he loved, he had to escape his collapsing hotel room, cross a city swept by fire and fight his way past the military onto the only ferry out of town.
Beautiful storytelling and live opera singing combine to reveal the heart behind a legend.
A Prodigal Theatre collaboration with Andrew G Marshall |

THE BOB HALL SHOW
Britain’s finest blues and boogie pianist, Bob Hall’s distinctive and original piano style has influenced generations of piano players and left a lasting legacy. He first came to fame in the R‘n’B explosion of the sixties, leading bands whose sidemen included several current members of The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Manfred Mann. |
No Bob Hall show would be complete, however, without the anecdotes: a lifetime of music, together with a passion for the minutiae of American folk and blues history, have left Bob with a host of yarns, some true and some apocryphal, which can be guaranteed to raise a smile.
“his name is synonymous with myth, legend, and greatness.”
All Music Guide
“Surely the finest of the British blues and boogie pianists - with a flair for imaginative lyrics.” Blues and Rhythm
“At the end of the show they were pressed to do encore after encore as the audience was reluctant to let these brilliant entertainers go.” Northern Times
