They will bring with them a variety of instruments which they will talk about and play. These include Northumbrian smallpipes, whistles, recorders, guitar, hammer dulcimer, Appalachian dulcimer, crumhorn, concertina, zither harp and bowed psaltery. Sussex On Film

Following his extraordinarily successful film evening during the 2007 Festival, Dr Frank Gray, distinguished Director of the Screen Archive South East (SASE), returns to present “Sussex on Film”, a very special film anthology showing the changing face of Sussex from the late 19th Century to the present day.

Dr Gray’s live commentary will be accompanied by music from Stephen Horne – one of the UK’s leading film accompanists - on the piano.

During the evening, Dr Gray will
also answer questions and
introduce the nature of the
Screen Archive’s work.
