Firstly, may we say that it’s vitally important that everyone reminds themselves of how remarkable they have been during 2020; resilient, flexible and adaptable to the core and over such a long period of time. We are proud to be part of such a nurturing Community.
Like so many of us we had to pivot and adapt last year but are very proud of the Virtual Hurst Festival the team produced – basically a 2 week TV Channel!
The Virtual Hurst Festival 2020 included 60 events (52 pre-recorded & 8 live). Over 6,000 YouTube Views and articles and interviews on BBC Sussex, Burgess Hill Radio and Latest TV and much fun was had by all!
A huge thanks to our amazing team of 35 Volunteers who hand delivered 4,300 leaflets to 86 businesses in the surrounding area as far afield as Haywards Heath.
We would also like to thank Freemans Funeral Directors and Hurst College for printing the leaflets for us, Sussex Door to Door who delivered 15,700 leaflets to residential properties in Hurst and Hassocks for us and to Hurst Life who kindly printed centre pages for us.
Please donate if you have enjoyed the programme or indeed wish to help support the Festival – the donation link is still available HERE. The Videos are on HERE on You Tube for you to enjoy during this lockdown too.
We are also looking for some local businesses to sponsor Super Sunday alongside the Parish Council and also sponsor the main two week festival. Please email manager@hurstfestival.org with any questions.
The Hurst Festival Team are excited to be planning for a Full Live Festival in 2021, and part of our planning is looking at how these events will look if we are still socially distancing and of course keeping an eye on the Government Guidelines on Live Events.
Keeping fingers and toes crossed.
Stay Safe,
The Hurst Festival Team
