Look forward to an evening of impressive musicianship and singing. Julie Roberts has a warm, distinctive voice and sings from the heart the songs she loves, from gutsy blues to sophisticated jazz ballads such as the songs of Peggy Lee and the witty songs of jazz composer, Dave Frischberg.

Julie has loved singing since childhood but it is only in the last twenty or so years that, under pressure from friends, she took to public performance. Working with pianist Michael Hinton they developed a large repertoire of songs, mainly jazz standards, that they both especially enjoyed. Together they recorded three albums and found an enthusiastic following.

Julie now relishes the challenge and inspiration of working with Mike Hatchard.

Mike Hatchard is a jazz piano maestro and classical pianist, a multi-instrumentalist, fine vocalist, composer, musical director of local community choirs, an irrepressibly talented musician. After the Royal College of Music and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra Mike toured America with Cleo Laine and has been endlessly busy and in demand as a musician ever since. He performs constantly and hosts several very popular “Jazz Breakfasts” along the Sussex coast.

Julie and Mike will bring variety, humour and style to this relaxing soiree.
