The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams – Hurst Players’ Festival production Event Image

A piece of tenderness and charm, this play established Tennessee Williams as a dramatist of note. A memory play set in post-depression America, narrated by Tom who lives in genteel poverty with his ambitious mother, Amanda, and disabled sister Laura, who has withdrawn from the world together with her collection of glass animals - her friends. Laura’s view of the world is about to be challenged by the arrival of a ‘gentleman caller'.
