The Hurst Music club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (see our music club page for details - follow the What's On link). The club had to be put on hold due to restrictions during the pandemic, but they have all still worked hard to create this concert for the Virtual Festival this year.

Verity Clarke

A piano medley combining a variety of songs from iconic British music artists, starting in the 1970s and ending in the 2010s. I arranged these songs in chronological order into one piece and each artist within it has had a significant influence on the British music scene and additionally to my own inspiration. I arranged this medley myself, with the majority of songs learnt by ear.

"My name is Verity and I'm 16 years old, I live in Hurstpierpoint and music has always been my passion. I love to play, perform and listen to music and I dream of being a professional musician in the future. I've played piano since I was 6 and guitar since I was 14. Since September 2019, I've been attending the Hurst Festival music club which has been a great opportunity to improve and expand my performance skills and learn from other people's musical talents. I am grateful for the opportunity to perform in the Virtual Hurst Festival and I hope you enjoy my performance!"
